Up Close and Personal with a Killer When I was finally admitted into the bowels of Trenton State Prison in New Jersey?s capital to interview multiple murderer Richard Kuklinski, a.k.a. ?the Iceman,? it wasn?t at all what I had expected. My assumption was that it would be like the movies. We?d be separated by a shatter-proof glass barrier. We?d communicate through telephone handsets. There would be guards all around watching our every move. But I couldn?t have been more wrong. Clarice Starling had more protection when she visited Dr. Hannibal ?the Cannibal? Lector in The Silence of the Lambs. At least she had bars. And frankly, as a killer, Lector was downright crude compared to the stealth and skullduggery of the Iceman. Lector liked to bite; Kuklinski preferred a cyanide solution administered from a nasal spray bottle. A surprise spritz to the face usually produced a shocked inhalation from the victim, who as a result would die in under a minute. And unless the body was found right away and a savvy medical examiner knew what to look for, the poison would go undetected because cyanide naturally dissipates in the body after two hours. But cyanide was only one of the things I was thinking about on the morning of January 16, 1992, when I arrived for my date with the Iceman.
I,v been looking for this ever since i read the book, exelent interveiw. just what i was looking for.
That voice!
those eyes!...cold as stone and that smile of darkness....shiver.. He responded so differently to this female interviewer, flirting, bragging etc. P.s watch Gladiator Days doco,(free on g.video from hbo about Troy"james dean" Kells-another extremely dark but fascinating look at violence/murder.
I just done a big smelly fart
that is one dude you dont want to cross !!!!!!!! brillient documentury
richard kuklinski was a man who did terrible thing but i dont think of him as a terrible person i actually have a lot of respect for him. he was a true gangster, a baller. rest in peace richard
Then what makes a terrible person in your mind? This man killed people, he beat his wife, tortured, randomly picked people to kill just to test his killing ideas. He definitely became a terrible person, a monster. If you respect him out of fear, that's one thing, but if you respect him in a way of looking up to him, you seriously need to get your priorities straight and/or seriously go to a psychologist/psychiatrist. And he won't rest in peace, if you believe in an afterlife, he'll pay, that's just a consequence. If you don't believe in an afterlife, then he's not resting, because he doesn't exist any longer. You better set yourself straight or rest assured time will.
You're a dick head!!!
everyone has their own opinion on Richard Kuklinski. Personally, i wouldn't want to cross him, but has anyone noticed that all his victims are men!
i say he was a coward, the worse kind,he may have been a big guy,but he couldn't handle himself, unless he had a weapon,or when he was beating his wife up,is when he was strongest.
youi did not even listen to what was said. He never beat his wife or children. He was the idea father with a sick other side
If you read the book it paints a different picture regarding the treatment of his wife. Perhaps the author could shed some light on this discrepancy.
read his book,he beat his wife constantly, caused her to haveseveral miscarriges, thogh he never layed a finger on his children,he also never murdered a women or child
Take a stand to protect children... else it may come back to haunt you in the form of another Richard Kuklinski.

I gotta say this, and ONLY this : like my old buddy Dutchie Mason used to say, "That's one MEAN mother FOR ya'!" AMEN ???
